Most guys tend to jump into online dating head-first and think that this will be the answer to their prayers. They think that somehow by magic they will be swamped with loads of hot women pursuing them. After a couple of weeks of no results, reality hits home and they are forced to face the fact that online dating is a lot harder than it seems. Does this sound familiar to you? Profile too wordy

Most guys tend to put way too much information in their profile. If you tell your entire life story, there is nothing left to know about you. So this means that there is no mystery or intrigue that surrounds you which results in less interest from women. You have to leave some room for "wondering" about you… the curiosity factor. Just provide some basic information about yourself, your interests and passions… but don’t write a book.

The guy is too clingy or needy

This will come across loud and clear in the guy’s profile and any emails that he sends to potential dates. You can tell that he is desperate, insecure and scared of being alone. Just present yourself as a fun guy that’s on that particular site to meet fun, interesting women. Convey the idea that your standards are very high and that YOU are selecting the right woman for you… and not the other way around. That’s a POWERFUL mindset.

The guy is too boring

Do you want to come across as boring? Well, just use the same boring, lame lines that everyone else uses in their profiles and emails. What happens is that the women just gloss over these profiles and mass delete emails because they have read them a thousand times (or more) before. So go and have a look at a heap of guys’ profiles to get an idea of what the women have to read each day. Then… make yours stand out from the crowd. Be creative and different.

Make a commitment to yourself that you will get this part of your life sorted out… the results will be well and truly worth it. Keep furthering your online dating education and training no matter what it takes.

So Does Internet Dating Actually Work

I’m quite sure that just about every person contemplating internet dating has asked this question before they decided to dive in and give it a go. I know I did. But sadly, the majority of these people will ask this question again a few months later. Why? This is due to poor results or NO results with finding, meeting and dating a potential partner. And yet, for a small percentage of people, they will have great success with internet dating.

Some people (particularly men) will give up almost straight away at the first sign of rejection or lack of results. You have to realise and accept that this is all part of the process and is entirely normal for everyone at one point or another. Like any skill learning, there is a process where you won’t be very good initially but through accumulating knowledge, applying that knowledge, and through persistence, you CAN succeed. Just remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day.

To me, this subject is very close to my heart because I sucked at meeting and interacting with women. After the break-up of a 13 year relationship, I really didn’t have a clue about this whole dating thing because I had been out of it for too long. (Plus the fact that I am far from being a "natural" when it comes to women.) Internet dating just seemed to me to be a great way of getting back into it.

But rather than spend months and months of stuffing around with trial and error, I decided to get some formal training. After some research (online of course, LOL) I found that Dave M was the absolute guru when it came to internet dating, and his program is called Insider Internet Dating. Now, I won’t lie to you… I do make money from promoting this program, but what you will find is that this is the only program I will promote when it comes to internet dating.

Sometimes I pinch myself… I can’t believe how much I have learned and how far I have come with Insider Internet Dating. No big spiel here, but if you want results, at least go here and check it out… you’ll be glad you did.

Is Internet Dating Now Acceptable Or Not

A few years ago, it’s fairly certain that most people viewed internet dating as something that was "weird". The common misconception was that people would have to be desperate, perverted or both to participate in dating on the internet. So the question is, has that attitude now changed in 2008?

My view is that it is becoming more and more acceptable to do internet dating. You’ve only got to look at the internet and online "buying" in general. Every day thousands of people are jumping onto the internet to find information, but a large proportion are actually making purchases online. It just makes sense that this is the way that society is going, seeing that people are becoming very busy and more time-constrained.

There’s almost nothing that can’t be done online these days, so really there’s nothing wrong with finding a date online. If you look at it from a rational point of view, dating on the internet saves loads of time, energy and money, so take full advantage of it, I say.

The fact that many million of people are doing internet dating every single day says to me that this activity is quite "normal" and nothing to worry about, doubt or feel any guilt/remorse over at all. We use the internet every day for finding advice, searching for information, buying products and investing, so why should dating be any different.

Just realise that most of your friends and family probably don’t really care if you are into internet dating. A lot of the "stigma" is actually conjured up in your own mind. So don’t let it hold you back any longer.

Internet dating is quite acceptable now and it will only become more and more acceptable as time goes on. So don’t let anything or anyone hold you back from meeting the woman of your dreams. Go for it.

Whether you are dating in the "outside" world or online dating, rejection is a very real fear and problem for most men. In the majority of cases, it’s not the fear of approaching women that is the problem but it’s the actual rejection itself. I’m sure a lot of guys would rather lose an arm than go through the humiliation of rejection.

So how’s a guy meant to deal with it? Well, by changing your thinking and accepting that rejection can actually have certain benefits, you can begin to see things in a different way (glass half full, instead of half empty).

Just realise that each "no" that you get is actually bringing you "closer" to a "yes". One of the biggest questions for guys when it comes to dating online (or offline) is what to talk about and how to keep the conversation going. There are definite do’s and don’ts in regards to what to talk about with women. There is nothing worse than the whole night coming to a grinding halt because you run out of things to say. The biggest mistake you can make is to talk about things that are boring and predictable. So don’t be talking about the weather, your mother, which school you went to or where you grew up. Typically on most internet dating sites, there is a far greater ratio of the number of men compared to women. This equates to more competition for the men vying for fewer women. Also, men usually have to make all the first "moves" or approaches to women. However, there is a way to turn these things around and have them go in your favour.

It is true that you will have much competition from other men, and the number of women available to you will be comparatively smaller. This can actually be a huge advantage to you. See, most women will be "approached" by guys using the same old lame pick up lines and profiles… this just comes out as boring, predictable and stupid. This is where you can stand out from the crowd by producing a unique profile and email messages that other guys AREN’T using.

The other disadvantage for guys is that traditionally we have to be the ones that approach the women, and not the other way around. This is a big stumbling block for a lot of men because we fear rejection. If you get this part right, you will have a lot of interested women approaching and contacting you.
